I recently started getting interested in game making. Story-focused games, to be specific. I completely don't know how to code (except from simple HTML and CSS like on this site) so I got interested in game-making programs. Most popular are programs from RPG maker series (so they have a looot of great tutorials and resources available), but since I'm cheap, of course I decided to look for alternatives.
WOLF RPG Editor is similiar to rpg maker and you can make the same type of games with it as with RPG maker. You can make more things with it than with rpg maker (if you don't know anything about coding) but it is much less intuitive and it has a lot less tutorials online (most of them is shitty and you have to deal with it), so learning it is really hard. You can download it from creator's site in Japanese, English, or Polish.
Adventure Game Studio - I found it literally yesterday, so I can't say too much about it outside of the fact that it DEFINITELY is worth checking out. From what I noticed, making point and click games with it shouldn't be too dificult. You can download it here
Ren'Py is a visual novel making tool. Rather easy to use, as VNs aren't as complex gameplay-wise as other games. Click here to jump to it's site.
